First off, holy hell, you guys. This is the first non-Nanowrimo novel I've ever finished, clocking in at an amazing 90k words, which is a good 10k past my previous record with Crossed. I had a lot of problems with this project the closer I got to the ending, but just like I'd hoped, the last few chapters went by like a whirlwind. I wrote over 7k in one sitting and hardly noticed it.

Of course, it's a first draft, and is still riddled with plot holes, typos, and general inconsistencies, but that's not the point. It is officially done, off my chest, and the next time I see it it will be with a big fat red pen and a bottle of Tylenol.

So, anyway. Hell of a ride, people. It brings me great comfort to be able to put this one away for a while, having been one of my major focuses since back in January. Thank you to everyone that listen to me ramble about this over this year, and super thanks to =mippins for all that commentary in the beginning. I'll try to get you a version you can read as soon as possible. xD

IN OTHER NEWS...The Exchange!

First off, big sloppy love all over *DeadGP for being an awesome opponent and an awesome guy in general. The results came in for our round a while ago, and I somehow managed to come out the winner. I'm super excited for the next round.

Even more of a bonus, Mips posted the Judge Comments tonight. I will admit to laughing devilishly during some of the comments on my entry, and also at being really, incredibly flattered. Seriously, thank you guys.

Also, all the comments about how staggeringly (good word!) sad it is were almost enough to make me feel bad for being so nasty to Jun. I swear, it's all going somewhere! xD I'm not just dragging you guys through the mud for no reason.

Alex is also coming along with my team, which I'm super excited about. She's been one of my favourites from the beginning, so I'm looking forward to writing with her.
